Brother’s Keeper is an influential American metalcore and hardcore punk band from Erie, Pennsylvania, that stood at the epicenter of the vibrant late-90s “Lake Effect” hardcore scene. Formed in the early 1990s—originally under the moniker Sumthin’ To Prove before rebranding in 1994—the band built a massive reputation for their intense, audience-inclusive live shows, distinct vocal delivery, and positive personalities. After a long hiatus that began in 2003, Brother’s Keeper officially broke their 25-year silence in August 2026 by releasing new music and announcing a series of highly anticipated hometown comeback shows.
